It’s already time to start gearing up for the new fall line and to get the campaign started, the Söfft team headed to Perugia, Italy for the Söfft Fall 2010 photoshoot! It didn’t take long to get used to the friendly people, the beautiful scenery, and of course, the food. And believe me, the cappuccinos made those early call times all the more bearable. Söfft & Hello Stiletto partner up yet again for a fun-filled evening in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont. The Capital Grill served as a perfect setting for April 9th festivites. The night was full of food, wine, a Söfft Runway Show featuring the hottest styles from the Spring 2009 line and, of course, the Best in Shoe Walk-Off. A handful of members from Hello Stiletto happily volunteered to model for the Söfft Runway Show and looked fabulous. Thank you ladies for your participation!

As is with every Hello Stiletto Party, a Best in Shoe Walk-off capped the night.  Attending members are encouraged to strut their stuff on the Pink Carpet and show off their dazzling – and sometimes totally essentric (but fun) footwear. The winner, or Best in Shoe, received a free pair of Söfft Shoes. Söffts very own Field Marketing Representative, Raine, MC’d the evening and was onhand to answer questions about Söfft.

Shopping for Söfft shoes just got easier. For the first time since the launch of www.SofftShoes.com, shopping direct from Söfft is possible. Here at Söfft Shoe Co., we are delighted to be able to add this convenience to our ever-evolving website. Over the past year, we have made strides in making www.SofftShoe.com more relevant to our customers by sharing latest news stories, listing events all over the nation, posting how-to videos and much more. More than ever, the website was becoming a destination for Söfft shoe wearer’s and fans but one major feature was missing…the convenience of offering ALL of our available styles in one place.

Although the website may appear almost the same as it was before the re-launch, there are a number of new features that you can enjoy. For example:

FROM THE HOMEPAGE:
A new link has been added in two places on the homepage for ease and convenience:
1. In the top menu, between “styles” and “media”
2. In the “featured styles” section, just under the list of different heel heights

NEW SHOP PAGE:
An entirely new section has been created to make browsing and shopping easier. On the Shop Page, you can narrow down your search by making a selection from the left side menu, or by selecting a shoe in a certain category. Once you’ve selected the route you want to take, you can further simplify your search in a few ways.
1. You can use the “sort by” dropdown menu to browse by newest styles, price range and popularity.
2. In the left hand menu – you can search by color, size and width. No longer will you need to fuss around looking for YOUR size!
3. You may also pre-order future styles! By clicking the Coming Soon link in the left side menu, you can order shoes up to 30 days before they are due in – a great idea if you have hard-to-find sized feet!

WISH LIST:
Want to show your friends a hot style? Or perhaps you are trying to send someone ideas on what to get you for your birthday…the new Wish List is perfect. Simply click “add to wishlist”. Once you completed your Wish List, you can share it with friends or send it to your husband or boyfriend as a subtle hint.

SOCIAL NETWORKING:
The many ways to “Share” has been added to the new site. From any product page, shoppers can send a shoe to a friend on Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn. Or, post a shoe to the many other social-type feeds and forums on the web today including Delicious, Twitter and Yahoo Buzz. It is important to Söfft Shoe to stay on top of the ever changing dynamic of the web and to give our customers and fans a way to share their ideas with others.

Söfft recently joined forces with shoe blog Running With Heels to give away 4 Söfft Fall Shoes. RWH wrote a great feature on some of our hottest styles for Fall. Readers were given the chance to win one of 4 pairs of Söfft Shoes by posting a comment to the Söfft Feature Story and I must admit I was completely wowed by not only the amount of comments that were left, but the very kind words and even a few poems written about Söfft!

Without a doubt, Söfft wearers are dedicated to the brand and we couldn’t be prouder to see with our own eyes how Söfft has truly helped women. Comfort is key when purchasing shoes – but so is fashion. It seems that the Söfft brand really has bridged a long ignored gap in the footwear industry and for that, women are so thankful. We as a brand and company are thankful we have the type of customers we have. We love our customers and love hearing their stories. Thank you to all 651 participants for your comments!

On October 15 members of the footwear industry gathered for the 15th annual “Shoes on Sale” event presented by FFANY and QVC to benefit Breast Cancer Research.

The event took place at Manhattan’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel with a three hour telecast on QVC. Over 90,000 pairs of shoes were donated with $1.2 million sold at the event and even more sold on QVC*.

I was thrilled to be able to attend the event for Söfft! I mean, who wouldn’t want to go? First off, it is for a great cause! Secondly, I got to meet some amazing designers and celebrities like Reba McEntire, “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba, “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style” co-host Gretta Monahan, “Project Runway” winner Christian Siriano and “What Not To Wear’s” co-host Stacey London. Also, it isn’t every day that the hottest shoes of the season are ON SALE!

I must admit, meeting Gretta Monahan was the highlight of my evening. As soon as we introduced ourselves and Söfft, Gretta had nothing but positive things to say about the brand, especially that we offer great fashion in hard to find sizes and widths! It is thanks to her that we were recently featured on the October 9 episode of Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style. Gretta was so sweet and we really can’t thank her enough for recognizing Söfft as a fashionable, comfortable brand of footwear!

Söfft Shoe was proud to be a part of Project Smiles 2nd Annual Date Auction held in Boston, MA on September 19th, 2008. The Date Auction is a fun way for local singles to mingle and meet people – and to bid on eligible Police Officers and Firemen! And of course, it’s all for a good cause so we couldn’t resist being a part of it.

Söfft played a rather unique role in the nights festivities. As each bachelor was introduced, not only would the bachelor appear and strut his stuff on the catwalk – he was also holding a pair of pumps from the Söfft Fall Collection! What a way to entice a lady to bid on a date! Whether or not a love match was made….at least the winning bidder got a pair of shoes out of it!

Söfft really enjoyed being a part of such a fun night, for such a wonderful cause – children. Project Smile is a non-profit organization which donates stuffed animals, coloring books/crayons, small toys and children’s reading books to police and fire departments for police officers, fire fighters and paramedics to give to children involved in traumatic situations.The Date Auction raised thousands of dollars for Project Smile. Thank you to the people of Project Smile for including Söfft.

Andover, MA Last week in Las Vegas, HHBrown celebrated 125 years with a bang! HHBrown is known in the footwear industry for hosting some of the biggest and most exciting parties during the WSA Shoe Show….but this time the party was a little bigger and a little more exciting if I say so myself.

Pat Monahan of Train opened up the night with his band and wow’d the crowd from the first song to the very last. Everyone was on their feet dancing and singing along to all the songs that we know and love from Train. Pat proved to be charismatic, fun and of course – ultra talented. Sometimes you never know what to expect from a live performance but Pat was absolutely awesome!

Third Eye Blind followed playing an assortment of our 90’s favorites and some new stuff from their upcoming album. I forgot how many of Third Eye Blinds songs I know and love. It was a blast from the past and was so much fun. The end of the party came too fast.

Thanks to Third Eye Blind and Pat Monahan for what I would call the best HHBrown celebration to date! Can’t wait for the next one…
